every april in the midwest, little wildflowers pop up, fed by new sunlight before leaves grow on the trees..blue carpets everywhere. when i lived in rural iowa i used to go to the prairie conservation every spring to see the ephemerals bloom under the oak prairie. now i go to humboldt park in chicago
